TBLF Lawyers Secure $800k Award

The Byrd Law Firm lawyers Jason M. Byrd and Thomas Mayo secured a settlement for $800,000 today. The dispute involved a property insurance claim where TBLF’s client had been paid less than $25,000 on the claim prior to our lawyers’ involvement. The Plaintiff had made claims for breach of contract, violation of the Texas Insurance Code and breach of the duty of good faith and fair dealing. The case was unique given the fact that many of the records vital to the case had been lost due to theft and vandalism prior to our involvement, therefore requiring TBLF lawyers and experts to use innovative techniques in presenting the evidence and proving the case.
